Well, you could argue that in a democratic state there's a higher chance of unflattering art being produced. While under a dictator, unless you have a death wish, artwork tends to be an idealised form!
In my opnion anything from higher dimensions or hyperspace would have to spiritual to be curled up into a very small space or be infinite in size. Such beings would not be humaniod with bodies but spiritual- non material. They would not be aliens but indistinguishable from God. Man being made in God’s image definitely applies to a physical aspect of God. Life definitely has limits imposed on it planet has to be near to a star(life belt) has to have an oxygen atmosphere and DNA like ours.
I'm not sure where your sense of humor comes from, honestly. I don't think it's family or culture, really, because I can find things completely hilarious when my family doesn't, and vice versa. I also enjoy "British Humor" more than "American Humor", yet I'm American.
I'm a generally happy, smiley person, so it doesn't take much to make me laugh, but I particularly enjoy dark humor, or dry humor, depending on my mood. But at the same time, I also don't like toilet humor or raunchy sex humor. Fart jokes just aren't funny to me. I never really got into MadTV for this reason, but I enjoy Saturday Night Live.
